Heavy would be considered where you cannot see the bottom of the pool/barely can see bottom of pool OR you have tried the 'light' Algae Treatment at least 48 hours prior with no results.

Follow this treatment in order:

• Brush the bottom & sides of pool to loosen up algae
• Add 2 Gallons of Oxidizer per 10,000 gallons of water
• Add 2 Pints of CDX per 10,000 gallons of water
• Top Sanitizer up to 50 ppm - Use Baquacil Test Strips to check level
• 12-24 Hours later add Flocculant or Clarifier if cloudy
• Run Filter non-stop for 24-48 Hours until clear
• Vacuum the pool thoroughly
• Clean filter with Baquacil Filter Cleaner

Light Algae is considered where your pool is somewhat Green but you can still see the bottom, or algae is just beginning to start.

Follow this treatment in order:

• Brush the bottom & sides of pool to loosen up algae
• Add 1 Gallon of Oxidizer per 10,000 gallons of water
• Add 1 Pint of CDX per 10,000 gallons of water
• Top Sanitizer up to 50 ppm - Use Baquacil Test Strips to check level
• 12-24 Hours later add Flocculant or Clarifier if cloudy
• Run Filter non-stop for 24-48 Hours until clear
• Vacuum the pool thoroughly
• Clean filter with Baquacil Filter Cleaner
